Our classical
tour starts from Cairo with an early morning departure
heading to Bahariya. Once arrived in the oasis and
settled in our hotel, a local visit of the most interesting
culture and historic sites is planned. On the next
morning the expedition in the desert begins. All over
the way you will be surrounded by the splendid and unique
nature ! To end this unforgettable day, you will be
camping in the White Desert, under a roof of stars !

In the morning, departure
from guests address in Cairo (airport, hotel, home etc) to Bahariya
Oasis by bus via the Desert Road. Transfer to Minamar Hotel.
Check-In. In the afternoon, local tour by jeep: visit of the Temple
of Ain el-Muftella, a Roman Water Source, the Tomb of Bannantiu, the
Temple of Alexander the Great, the Museum of Bahariya where you will
find the Golden Mummies, the English houses 'Gebel al-Ingleez'
Dinner and overnight at Minamar Hotel. |

In
the morning, departure by
jeep
4X4 to the
White Desert.
Vist
of the Black
desert and the dune area.
We start our climb of a 50meter dune. Lunch
in El Heiz Oasis.
On the route to Farafra we visit the Crystal Mountain,
the area of the wonders with the desert roses.
We
visit El Akabat
and then we
head to the
White
Desert.
We start exploring the formations and wind carved sculptor. Then the New
Desert. In the evening, we have a barbeque dinner and sleep in
tents under the stars... |

The Snow - White Desert
The richness and variety of Egyptian
landscape is endless. At least if you ever decide to visit the White
Desert, that's the message you'll get. It is a vast stretch of land in
the Western Desert that borders Bahariya Oasis to the north and
Al-Farafra to the south.
The snow-white desert is actually made of
chalk that has been exposed for years to what geologists call
"differential weathering," the erosion of soft particles that results in
eerie protrusions of hard rock. This explains the very beautiful forms
that now fill the White Desert including shapes like domes, minarets,
castles, towers and so forth.
The destination has proved a great
attraction to all travelers who camp in the few oases, watch the
fauna and flora and enjoy the mild winter weather.
Shallow water levels allow for modest
vegetation and wildlife. One example is the Cairo University Oasis which
comprises only one palm and a few green trees, used by academics and
students to rest and eat. The desert could be a great safari area.
